We had 3 employees stay and have to say the host was amazing and so helpful, kept in contact all the time and the accommodation was outstanding, can not fault. Would highly recommend.
We had a fantastic time staying in Plum Cottage - it was peaceful and an excellent getaway for a few days. The house was clean and warm, and the hosts were fantastic. Their recommendations for food at The Hope and Anchor were spot on, and we had a great meal! We will definitely look to them first next time we head to Lincolnshire.
5 of us stayed at Plum Cottage for one evening and we had the most relaxing day and night. I would recommend adding the spa onto your stay before you check in as it's well worth the extra money and extends your stay due to the slightly later average check-in of 4pm. Beautiful surroundings, lovely hosts & the little extras really made our day.
Nice quiet location, comfortable beds. Lots of seating space. Nice and warm. Lots of parking spaces. Overall it was fine, we originally booked one of the other cottages but were moved to this one so it was not our first choice anyway. Felt a little like Ryanair with all the payable extras.
The property didn’t live up to the photos on the website. Although it is nicely quirky inside with some interesting rustic touches, and the beds were really comfy, externally it looked unkempt. Front entrance porch in need of care, not welcoming externally. Also the towels provided were thin linen cloths, not towelling material, and were not absorbent. Interior lighting was dull in some rooms and combined with dark decor in places made it difficult to find a mirror with a good light. Loved the bathroom decor. Owners really friendly and responsive and we appreciated the gift of a bottle of Prosecco and nice biscuits.
