The Beach Cottage is a four bedroom situated on the absolute beachfront home overlooking the Coral Sea to beautiful Dunk Island. We offer a special tariff for use of 2 bedrooms. If you book using the 2 bedroom tariff and you use more bedrooms during your stay you will be charged extra bedroom charges. You will not be sharing the property with any other guests. You will have sole use of the house. The Beach Cottage is a four bedroom house situated on the absolute beachfront overlooking the Coral Sea to beautiful Dunk Island. Perfect for families or a group of friends to indulge in luxury. Contemporary furnishings throughout with attention to detail for comfort and a relaxed beach holiday ambience. You can choose to open all the doors and shutters enjoying the sea breezes or for those hotter nights turn on the air conditioners and cool right down. The Parents Retreat being a feature and the ultimate recipe for relaxation and privacy, is situated up the stairs from the verandah you have your own sitting area with TV and DVD player, comfy king bed, ensuite plus private deck looking out across the lawn to the ocean. This is also a great separate space for working on holidays. Downstairs there are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The King and Queen bedroom share a bathroom and the bunk bedroom has access to the main bathroom/laundry. The Beach Cottage accommodates a maximum of 8 guests with the different room configurations. The living and kitchen open onto a spacious verandah with BBQ and undercover dining which overlooks the pool to the beach. This is a fabulous area for entertaining or just relaxing. The kitchen is well equipped to cater for everyone and you will enjoy the space being poolside and opening out to the deck. Delight in a spa, sunbathe, take a stroll along the beach or sit back and let yourself unwind to the sound of the waves. Just a 5 minute drive to all amenities The Beach Cottage is a stunning getaway with everything you need and much more to enjoy your holiday in style. This holiday home is 3km to Wongaling Beach Shopping Village.

Wongaling Beach is considered by locals to be the central hub of the Mission Beach area. It offers a large range of the exclusive and sought after absolute beachfront accommodation on Reid Road and Koda Street. Beachfront properties are also available on Banfield Parade being across the road from the beach.
The small shopping village at Wongaling Beach (easy to identify thanks to the Big Cassowary sculpture) has a gym, cafe and hair salon. There is a drive in bottle shop at Mission Beach Resort.
Adjacent to this complex is Woolworths which has the Bendigo Bank a smaller Bottle shop, pharmacy and cafe. The supermarket is closed on Sundays. You can also find the service station – open 7 days - at Woolworths complex.
ANZ and Westpac ATM’s are situated within Woolworths.
Dining out in Wongaling Beach – Mission Beach Resort offers bistro style dining, Spicy Thai Hut offers fab Thai food and there is the Italian, Cafe Rustica.
Wongaling also offers a great kids playground, skate park, basketball half court and 'Splash'N'Dunk' water play park, this is all situated in the beachfront parkland at Rotary Park.
Just a short 5-10 minute drive will take you to the village centre of Mission Beach with a great range of café’s bars and specialty shops. The Mini Mart and Leny’s fruit and vegetable store are open on Sundays when Woolworths is closed.
The first and third Sunday of each month there a markets in the Ulysses park at Mission Beach.
The Mission Beach Monster Markets are held on the last Sunday of each month from Easter Sunday until November. These are located at Ulysses park at Mission Beach.
This holiday home is 3.1km to Wongaling Beach Shopping Village. It is recommended to have a car when staying at Wongaling Beach. Another option available is hiring a push bike. This is a great way to get out and about Mission Beach. Riding along the beach is a real treat.
