2 story log cabin on a farm in the middle of Missouri's wine country, complete with a gorgeous view and 6 person hot tub. Monettes Cabin is a destination in itself, we have been operating as a licensed bed and breakfast since 2009 and are relatively new to airbnb. The cabin is a two story log home with three bedrooms (2 king and 1 queen) and two full bathrooms. We live down the lane, so you will have the entire home, yard, and hot tub to yourselves. It was built for our family's grandmother "Monette" or Granny as we called her, and is reminescent of the cabin that she grew up in near Hollow Rock Tenn. Although the inside is well appointed and very comfortable, the true experience is outside. The owners Craig and Vicki have been Quarter horse breeders for 35 years and there are always new foals to see. You can while away an afternoon or evening relaxing in the hot tub or taking in the view from the front porch swing while the herd of longhorn cattle and horses graze in the field just below the cabin. On the hillside behind the cabin is where the miniatures live, three small goats and a mini horse named Annie will run to the fence to see what treats may be brought. Back at the barn are the mouse catchers, who always seem to have young ones hiding somewhere waiting to be caught and cuddled. Last but not least is Rocco, our resident cattle dog who is part guest greeter and part security detail. He always lets us know if something is not as it should be! Don't forget your fishing poles, there are several well stocked ponds to wet a line too. There are many activities nearby: -We are literally in the middle of wine country (18 mi. to Hermann, 15 mi. to Augusta, 10 mi. to Washington). -If wine isnt your thing, the historic Daniel Boone home/Boone's village is 19 mi., or a 30 min. drive. -hiking at Klondike Quarry, 17 mi. -bicycling on the Katy trail -Thierbach Orchards is at the end of our driveway.
