Greystones is a dog-friendly, Visit England 4* Gold award self contained annex with a private entrance for four people. On the border of North Devon & North Cornwall, within 10 miles of beaches. Greystones sleeps four & upto 6 dogs in two bedrooms (one double and one ‘zip&link’ twin or superking) with a kitchen, dining room, snug lounge (plus woodburner), bathroom (walk-in shower only) and WC. Truly dog-friendly, dogs are welcome throughout. Greystones is Visit England 4* Gold Award accredited, a self contained annex with a private entrance, offering accommodation for four people. Beautifully positioned on the edge of Sutcombe village, with views across the private garden, to the surrounding countryside and fields beyond. Our location on the border of North Devon and North Cornwall, will enable you to explore and share the delights of both coastal counties. There is a choice of unspoilt beaches just a short drive away, offering a variety of activities from sandcastle building to surfing. Plus, the miles upon miles of southwest coastpath to be explored, from rocky crags and harbours to sandy havens. If you are bringing your four-legged friend with you, Greystones at Town Farm is dog-friendly (not just dog tolerant!). We have green lanes and footpaths available straight from the door, ready to keep furry tails wagging. Once parked up, follow the path to the courtyard and Greystones front door. Step through into the entrance hall, with coat hooks and a shoe rack, along with access to the downstairs cloakroom (WC). To the right is the kitchen, which is fully equipped with oven, hob, fridge, dishwasher, microwave and coffee machine. The kitchen leads into the dining room, with table and chairs, and onward to the snug lounge. The snug lounge offers two comfortable sofas, with occasional chair, coffee table, a log burner and a smart TV. The snug lounge offers the perfect room to start or finish the day, enjoy your morning coffee watching the wild birds in the garden, or a relaxing evening as the sun sets with the final rays of light filtering through the full length garden window. There is access to an under-stairs cupboard from the snug lounge. In here you will find: a free-standing airer, vacuum, fans, ironing board, iron, outdoor chair cushions, BBQ utensils, melamine crockery (for outdoor use). In addition to plenty of space for temporarily storing your empty suitcases. The snug lounge also leads to the rear hallway, with an external door out to the private garden and stairs to the first floor. On the first floor are a bathroom and the two bedrooms. The bathroom offers a large walk-in shower, fluffy bath towels and an over-basin mirror with electric razor charging point. The two bedrooms are calm and relaxing spaces, one offers a double bed while the second bedroom has a zip&link bed, which can be made-up as a twin or a super-king. Both bedrooms have cosy duvets, with bedside tables, reading lights, clothes hanging & storage, plus occasional chairs. The bedrooms are the perfect place to lay your head after a day of exploring and taking in the fresh air. Greystones private garden includes a wooden bench, patio table and chairs, sun umbrella, BBQ (with a plastic storage box containing: charcoal and fire lighters). In addition to Greystones private garden, we offer ‘shared’ access to our 1/2 acre enclosed orchard, woodland walk and games barn. Our orchard offers space for your four-legged friend to run around. You can relax on a wooden bench and enjoy the country life, with wild bird song and maybe the odd mooing cow to listen out for. Alternatively enjoy a wander along our woodland walk, or unwind toasting marshmallows over the orchard fire pit. If you are after a bit more fun & entertainment the games barn offers table football, mini-pool/air hockey and a range of board games. Our Clome Oven Room offers access to the following additional facilities: - washing machine - tumble dryer - freezer (with a dedicated drawer for Greystones) - two dog crates you may borrow - plus a couple of pairs of wellies you may borrow We offer a private off-road parking area, with two dedicated parking spaces available for the Greystones. We have a 7KWh EV charger at the property, available for guests staying at Greystones. The charger is tethered and operated by Voltshare. If you do not fancy cooking, our closest pub serving food is the Bradworthy Inn, just 2.5miles away in the neighbouring village of Bradworthy. Or, a short drive to Holsworthy, Kilkhampton or Bude, offers a wider selection of pubs, cafes and takeaways, including: The Kings Arms (Holsworthy), Crisp & Dry (Holsworthy Fish & Chips), Indian Ocean (Holsworthy), Blagdon Wharf Cafe (just outside Holsworthy), Tamar Lakes Cafe (Upper Tamar Lake between Bradworthy & Kilkhampton) Blackberry Farmshop & Cafe (Milton Damerel), The Little Pig Farmshop & Cafe (Kilkhampton), Wayside Chinese (Kilkhampton), The Bank at Bude, Silver River Chinese (Bude) to name just a few. You really could park up and just relax into country life . . . Things to note: - Sutcombe is very rural and there is no public transport, so a car is essential - Greystones is a self contained annex with a private entrance - WIFI Broadband internet is available with a ‘fair usage’ policy, with average download speeds of 30Mbps and upload average speeds of 10Mbps - Bed linen and towels are provided (including tea towels & oven gloves) - We are dog-friendly, and we provide throws to cover the furniture and bed when dogs are staying. - We kindly request you let us know when booking if you will be bringing your four-legged friend with you.
We had a fantastic week at Greystones - Chris and Laura are great hosts who have thought of everything! A beautiful cottage with everything you could possibly want, a private garden which the doglet loved and a gorgeous orchard we shared with Chris and Laura’s dogs, Flint and Tarka! Highly recommended!
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Chris, Laura and Flint the dog's place. This spot is absolutely perfect if you're bringing a dog. There is a fully secure private garden, a shared orchard for runnning and playing with Flint, protective throws for the furniture, and even an outdoor dog shower - everything for your dog has been thought of and catered for. It's perfect for humans too - it was spotlessly clean (I'm not sure you would know that guests bring dogs when you arrive), a lovely welcome tray was provided, and again, every detail had been thought of. We had quite wet weather for our holiday, so it was particularly lovely to come back to somewhere so welcoming and get cosy by the woodburner (our dogs especially loved that part!). Would recommend to anyone, travelling with or without a furry friend.
Lovely house with lots of thoughtful touches. The enclosed garden was great for our dog and having use of the orchard was great too. Hosts were very friendly and helpful, and the welcome tray was a pleasant surprise on arrival and much appreciated.

Sutcombe is a very rural Devon village, offering a peaceful backdrop to relax and enjoy country life. With wild bird song and maybe the odd ‘mooing’ cow or ‘hooting’ owl to listen out for.
