Glencairn is a quiet suburb with some quirky cafes as well as fine dining within walking distance of the apartment. There are supermarkets, banks, post office and many tourist attractions a short distance away.
It is only a 5 minute walk via the wetland to Glencairn Beach, which is very popular as it has a beautiful tidal pool with a paved walkway to get to it.
In addition, there are magnificent mountain walks in the area (your hosts can advise, or even accompany you with their dogs), plus some magic spots to snorkel or swim, along the nearby coastline.
There is a yoga studio within 5 minutes walking distance, with daily classes, as well as a surfing school. Diving lessons are offered a 5 minute drive away.
Simonstown, with its eclectic shops and waterfront is a 10 minute drive away.
The famous penguin spot, Boulders, is 15 minutes drive away, and Cape Point is about a 20 minute drive.
The wine cellars of Constantia can be reached after a 20 minute drive ( allow your host to recommend a vineyard tour).
The Clovelly or Simonstown golf courses are very closeby.

The public transportation in this part of Cape Town is not great, so a car is advisable. Having said that, there is plenty to see and do within walking distance, so guests could also reach the place by using a service like Uber, and then get around on foot (or bike).
