I would give more stars if I could. Tsuruzi was an excellent host! He asked me what I wanted to see and drove me around the entire area to see the sights. When he found out I liked gachapon he found places throughout town that would have gacha machines. Along with taking me to great restaurants, he was a tour guide through the museums and helped as an interpreter as well. Even with the language barrier we were able to have good conversations and a lot of laughs. The room itself was also great, the bed was like sleeping on a cloud and the reclining chair was a comfortable place to get a lot of work done. The location was great too, an easy walk to parks and restaurants, and there was a convenience store right around the corner. An excellent trip and Tsuruzi made it one that I wont forget!

I had a wonderful time with Hideki-san. Not only did he go out of his way to make sure I got to Minamisōma safely in the wake of the typhoon, but he offered to show me around Namie and Futaba the next morning. He made us breakfast in the morning and made sure I knew what train to take on my return trip to Tokyo in the evening. We made pleasant conversation despite the language barrier. It felt like being taken care of by a kind grandfather. I cannot thank him enough for his kindness and warm welcome. Thank you for a perfect time in Minamisōma.
