Foxcrest was an amazing retreat for our girls trip! Heather’s place had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The kitchen was dreamy and fully stocked, it had everything needed from cookware to cooking essentials. The bathrooms were stocked with extra amenities. The big living spaces upstairs and down were definitely used with our 9 person group. We loved the porch and hot tub. Big Canoe was an amazing location, we really didn’t have to travel far to have fun! Heather gave specific recommendations for things to do in and outside of Big Canoe. She was very prompt in responding to messages! We’d definitely stay here again!

Wow! What lovely accommodations! The views are outstanding and the house is extremely clean, cozy, comfortable, well-stocked, and well-decorated. Heather was a great host and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Foxcrest is simply stunning. The views are spectacular, the home feels like a five-star hotel, the beds are so incredibly comfortable and cooking in the gorgeous kitchen is an experience to remember. Heather and Read are the best of the best and you don't find hosts that are as communicative, detailed, responsive, thorough and friendly as they are! If you are looking for a true relaxing getaway in a peaceful, gorgeous home with views that you'll never forget, than book Foxcrest for your next getaway. Trust us, you'll be so glad you did! This was our third stay and we plan to go back again soon!

We stayed in Big Canoe for the Christmas holiday. The house was perfectly accomodating for family members that joined us ranging in age from 5 months to 68 yrs. and 1 member with mobility issues. The host provided both a pack n play & a high chair for the baby, which is a great amenity for traveling families. The house has 2 levels. Fortunately the top/ground level floor was where most of the activitiy took place, which made it accomodating for the family member with mobility issues. The top/ground level floor includes kitchen (we cooked most meals), dining area with table that easily sat 8 adults, beautiful wood burning fireplace with sitting area, TV, access to the outdoor screened eating area, outdoor firepit seating area & hot tub. Our group primarily used the lower level bedroom/bath and the large floor space in the game room to do a group yoga practice. If you have older children, the lower level provides a great space for them to hang out.
