Beautiful 1898 home and a great hideaway north of Montebello. We stayed there for a cross-country ski event near Namur. Alex is super Zen and his place attracts art and artists from around the region. Small rooms but a large shared kitchen and eating area.

The house is very beautiful and I wanted to see this house because it has a great energy. Also very very clean which is always impressive and wonderful to stay in a clean environment. Alex is very friendly and will go the extra mile to help you feel at home. I just take off one star because I was not sure but it seemed our room was on the cold side and I think it could be nice to buy an electric heater if the gas stove is not functioning in winter. I didn’t bother to mention it because I was busy doing some sightseeing. The location is very close to Omega park which is super awesome.

Alex’s place feels like Lothlorien. This is a great big old home on private acres in a quaint town nestled among lakes. The big rambling home was built in the late 19th century for a prominent family and had mostly remained in that family until recently. Alex has obviously been working hard to create his own ambience and it does work. I felt like I was in Middle Earth and he fits the picture well. If you like a relaxed otherworldly experience then you should book a historic room, a converted school bus or a yurt. Definitely unique! I would go back for sure.

I only stayed one night but had a great time. Swimming in the nearby lake was great. I saw a deer and a fox too. I would like to stay longer if I had a chance. Thank you, Alex!
