You feel like you are way far out of town because there are lots of trees and nature, birds and bunnies- but you are just 8 minute car ride from downtown New Paltz, 5 minutes to uptown. WiFi is strong and works outside. Lots of outdoor space-your own patio + your own backyard lounge area with chairs, fire pit, tiki torches to side of the house. Pool open June- August upon request. Apartment is large with lots of windows and has all new furniture. Walking trails through the woods. This is a two story home. We live on the top floor and you have the 1st floor private apartment to yourself with separate entrance, parking space, you have a stone patio to yourself and the side of house near your apartment is an outdoor hang out space with chairs, fire pit, and tiki torches. We also just built a walking/biking trail through the woods surrounding the house you can use as well. Pool: Recently added a large 16x32 foot pool!!! (Accessible only June July and August upon request so we can prep it for you) Sleeping Area: Sleeps 4 (three adults or 2 adults 2 kids) The apartment has one queen and a twin size fold down couch in the living room which can sleep 2 kids or 1 adult. Our pets: We have two sweet dogs but who may be outside when you arrive and will come up to say hi. If you do not want this just let me know your arrival time and I will make sure they are inside. Outside: We have made space outside just for guests to the side of the house, that is all yours. If you want to also use our backyard with basketball, trampoline, playground, you are welcome to it but please let us know first as we also use it.

Convenient location and clean spacious 1 bedroom apartment. Listing states up to 4 guests but it’s really 3 max. (2 people in the bedroom and one more person can sleep in the living room futon) Listing also mentions a pool as part of the amenities in description and also in the pictures. However, upon arriving we were told that the pool was broken and therefore closed. The host mentioned that the pool being unavailable was disclosed in the listing but i read all the details afterwards to double check and there were no mentions of the pool being closed. It would have been good to know this before booking or if the pool happen to break after we booked then it would have been good to have received a heads up from the host. it just seems a little misleading to post pictures of a pool with a caption “pool with lights for nighttime swims” and not disclose that it won’t be available for use.
Fantastic location, comfortable with great access to New Paltz and the surrounding area. Everthing was adequate and clean but is not a luxury rental. The host was polite and unobteusive however the space was not condusive to privacy. We could clearly hear conversation from upstairs. This didn't bother us since the host was respectful and quiet after 10pm, and provided a noise machine in the unit. Overall I would recomend this space.
Great stay, INCREDIBLE back yard for my two kids - we had the best time! Kelin made sure to check in and that we had everything we needed!
Hosts were friendly and helpful. My stay here was for business and it was perfect. The apartment was very clean and had everything you need for short or longer term stays. It is located outside of town but convenient drive to anywhere you would need to go. I would absolutely book again.
Very convenient location - easy access to New Paltz. Hosts were quick and responsive to messages. Space was even bigger than I had envisioned from the photos. Checkin instructions were perfect. The heating was a bit noisy late in the night (temps were cool overnight) Good experience overall.

Close to downtown new paltz for shopping and restaurants, rail trail for biking and walking. Minewaska for hiking, biking, swimming. Mohonk Mountain House for day pass. Split Rock for swimming in small waterfall. Close to kayak rental for Wallkill River and and bike rental on River to ridge bike path. Apple farm and farm-stand across the street. Close to farms, orchards, breweries, vineyards.
Close to town- 8 minute drive.

I am originally from New Paltz. I grew up here and after high school went to Western Mass for college and then lived in NYC for the past 15 years. My husband and I met in the city and recently bought a home in New Paltz with our 7 year old son Shay. I have worked in documentary and non-profits and now work for Chronogram Magazine which has been a part of the region for over 26 years. My husband is from Senegal West Africa, and he works full time as a guitarist and singer at the Cafe Wha? in the West Village in Manhattan and soon to be setting up shows in the Hudson Valley. In terms of hosting, we want you to feel as comfortable as possible and we are more than willing to help give you some advice as to places to go. I grew up here and know the new hip spots to see music on a farm, or eat pizza in the woods, as well as the local swimming holes you won’t find easily via online search. You feel like you are way far out of town because there are lots of trees and nature, birds, bunnies, some fox, and a woodchuck that live on the property as well as an apple farm across the street- but you are just 8 minute ride from downtown New Paltz, 5 minutes to midtown/SUNY NewPaltz and a 5 minute ride to get you on the the Rail Trail. It’s the best of both town and country. You are welcome to use the outdoor space as well- to play on the playground, make a fire in the fire pit-there are two, you can use either, jump on the trampoline when it is set up, play basketball, soccer, pogo stick, or swing on the swings. :) If you are into biking you can store your bikes in our shed or garage.. Collectively we speak fluently in English, Spanish and French. We also know some Portuguese and Italian.
