Dear vacationers, We rent this mansion for 8 people overlooking the peaceful village of Les Eyzies renowned for its historical heritage. This large house, located in Périgord Noir, is ideally located between Sarlat (15 km), Bergerac (38 km) and Périgueux (35 km) and 1 km from the two rivers which meet: the Dordogne and the Vézère (swimming, canoeing , nautical base of Tremolat...). It allows holidaymakers to recharge their batteries, far from the tourist influx while being close to the region's cultural highlights. This property is surrounded by a wooded park and access through the gates to the woods. It has a private heated swimming pool. The house and the swimming pool are exclusively reserved for you (no other tenants). Inside you have: Air conditioning in every room. an equipped kitchen (hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, coffee maker, toaster, etc.) a dining room with TV a large living room of an office 4 spacious bedrooms each equipped with king size bed, air conditioning, TV, free wifi, Nespresso coffee maker, kettle, mini fridge each with their own bathroom and WC. Bed sheets are provided and the beds are made upon arrival. Not provided: pool towels -Possibility of a cleaning fee: 120 euros Outside : The swimming pool (with alarm but not fenced) is surrounded by deckchairs, parasols and you have an outdoor table (+ chairs) for lunch in the park + barbecue -Shops: Les Eyzies to do all your shopping (supermarket, bakeries, butcher, tobacconist, press, pharmacy, restaurants, ice cream parlor, shops, etc.) In the village of Les Eyzies, you have the owners' restaurant: the restaurant La Maison and the Table du Passeur. -Activities in the region: * Museums (National Museum of Prehistory Les Eyzies, Le Bournat in Le Bugue...) * The most beautiful villages in France: Domme, La Roque-Gageac, Montpazier... * Caves and chasms (Lascaux, Proumeyssac, Padirac...) * The castles (Commarques, Beynac, Castelnaud, Milandes, Monbazillac...) We spent two great weeks at Jérôme’s place. The house was very spacious and as a family of 6 with two teenagers we enjoyed the individual bathrooms for each bedroom very much. We loved spending time at and in the pool and enjoyed dinner and barbecue at the pool patio as well. The terrace right next to the kitchen was great for breakfast as well. Jérôme was a great host, very responsive to all of our questions and concerns. The area is beautiful with many options for hiking, biking, canoeing and swimming and even more castles, caves and prehistoric sites to visit.
Maison pleine de charme et décorée avec goût, conforme à la description. Les extérieurs sont eux aussi très agréables nous avons eu beaucoup de plaisir à fainéanter au soleil. Hôtes disponibles. Excellent rapport qualité prix. Seul petit point négatif, la maison est au bord de la route. Dans la maison le calme est présent, le bruit ne s'entend qu'à l'extérieur. Rien de rédhibitoire nous avons passé un très agréable séjour en famille.
Jerome was a great host throughout our stay. He explained everything in the house and showed us round all the rooms. The house was lovely. Clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The pool and sun loungers were perfect for relaxing on a sunny day. The area is definitely worth a visit with some beautiful towns and historical sites.
Trés bel endroit ! Nous avons apprécié notre séjour. Bien placé, au calme, parfait pour découvrir le Périgord noir !

The House is located in the village, far from the hustle and bustle, however, you can walk to the bakeries, butcher, supermarket, ice cream parlor, museums, train station, tobacconist, press, pharmacy, doctors and all the many restaurants. (especially those of the owners of the villa ^^)
