Cozy Cottage Retreat with Stunning Moor Walks This charming little cottage was the perfect base for our getaway to the moors. While it's compact, it offers excellent value for money and packs in everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is fantastic, with easy access to stunning walks on the Moor with the dog, we especially loved the Cheesewring. The wood burner, kept the cottage toasty warm in the evenings. While we ate out most nights, the small kitchen was well-equipped for whipping up a simple meal if needed. A big bonus was the lovely cafe in the village. We had a delicious coffee and cake there one afternoon, and it was the perfect spot to relax and soak up the local atmosphere. Just a heads-up, the staircase is quite steep, so something to bear in mind if you have mobility concerns. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at this cottage and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in the heart of the moors.

The cottage is basic and needs general updating and renovation. Not the most comfortable stay, but location was ideal for our visit as attending a wedding close by. Wi-fi and parking good. Communication with host good prior to and during stay.

The place was amazing. My wife and I ran through the mines and hurlers every morning before taking off. Definitely loved the location away from all the tourism.

Perfect little place, fantastic value for money, great location that was in the middle of all the best places to visit! Love seeing sheep, lambs, cows and horses freely roaming around! Minions has the best cream tea and coffee. Really enjoyed our stay and loved the accommodation. The host was very helpful. I would highly recommend :)

Lovely quaint cottage in a good location for exploring Bodmin Moor. Cottage was very homely and clean and beds were comfortable. Good communication and local pub recommendations from Lesley. Local shop in Minions well stocked with essential items. Pity the Cheesewring pub in Minions does not appear to be re-opening anytime soon following the fire nearly 2 years ago. Negative points being we felt there should be a banister on the landing at the top of the narrow stairs, plus a second hand rail. A little dangerous at present for children and the elderly. Also no iron or ironing board. Not essential, but as we were attending a family wedding, this would have been useful. Also no freezer compartment in fridge. In all other respects, the cottage was perfect as a base for a holiday or weekend. We certainly recommend Bramble Cottage and would stay there again.
