This studio suite is exactly as photographed and described. Spotless, safe, private, and quiet, especially given its location steps from a train station (so easy to get to the City) and a chicken coop. Comfy bed, beautiful bathroom, great shower. And convenient to so much in downtown San Mateo! My sole caution (not a con, just something to know) is the kitchenette has limited supplies, but it does have a mini-fridge/freezer (actually bigger than some we've seen), so we microwaved a lot. And don't forget San Mateo's many restaurants! We enjoyed our stay and hope you do, too.

I really enjoyed my stay in San Mateo. Catherine & David were very responsive and helpful, and the place itself was spotless and comfortable. I particularly enjoyed seeing the chickens & citrus trees in the yard. The neighborhood is quiet and the Caltrain station is literally a 2 minute walk from their place. There are more than a few great restaurants within walking distance as well. I’d definitely stay here again if I’m back in the area!

Very nicely appointed, comfortable, clean, private and in a great location within walking distance of downtown San Mateo. Heated bathroom floors and kitchenette with Nespresso were really nice additional amenities. Hosts were very friendly, helpful, and responsive. Was the perfect spot for family that was in town visiting us during the holidays.
