This home was the coziest slice of heaven! It was the most peaceful thanksgiving week ever. From hiking in nearby areas, visiting the beach, and spending an evening in the hot tub, this was exactly what my family and I needed. The home came with many appliances and dishes. It had an everything you can think of - a fireplace, swing, treehouse, hammock, patio with a picnic table, nearby trails for morning walks, and a wood burning stove. Thank you Daphne and Rich for creating such a warm and welcoming home for many to enjoy and create beautiful memories!

We loved staying at Daphne and Rich’s magical farmhouse amongst the trees. The property is beautiful , the house is super comfortable and well-stocked, and the location is great—it’s private and peaceful, but it’s also just a quick drive to restaurants, shops, hikes, etc. Our kids were especially enchanted with Jimmy, the sweet horse up the trail :) We’d love to come back for another fun, relaxing stay!

Wonderful relaxing house in the midst of the redwoods about a 10 minute drive from downtown Mendocino. Great locale for toddler and baby who both loved seeing the deer and turkeys, running around outside, and swinging in the hammock. Great kitchen and comfy beds. Felt safe and quiet. Hosts were very responsive and nice.

Nice location but not a well maintained home - deck was falling apart, hot tub was dirty, grass was overgrown etc. 3 bedrooms downstairs are really tight with single beds, master upstairs is better. Fireplace is really good and firewood is provided. The hosts were non-communicative and did not respond to multiple messages from both us and airbnb support regarding the res for a whole week. Yes/ No is fine, but they just didn't respond. tl;dr - would stay for the surroundings and the charming fireplace but probably only if this was priced much lower than similar listings.

We loved staying at Daphne & Rich’s cottage. It was a peaceful escape for our trip up to the Redwoods.
