Come visit our costal getaway. Enjoy your stay in our "On Sailing Time" virtual motel room. It's a quaint motel room with views of the Straight of Juan de Fuca. Walking distance to a pebble beach. Hunt for seaglass, starfish and seashells. Less than 2 miles to Sekiu Point, where you'll find tidepools and more treasures. Enjoy waterfront views with a queen bed in a separate room, as well as a twin bed. There is a small kitchen with a microwave, oven and coffee maker. During your stay: contact us during the day viia Air BNB messaging and we will provide a prompt response. Emergencies or lockouts may require at least 45 minutes for assistance.
The listing claims an ocean view, but that is inaccurate. There is no view of the ocean from the front door, any of the windows. I would have not booked this place if the listing was honest about the setting.
Its clean and nice, but overpriced. And there is 1 bedroom, not 2. They put additional twin bed on a kitchen and call it second bedroom ahahah. Kitchenedrum. So in order to rich the bathroom you have to go all the way through the real bedroom. Not really comfortable and I feel fooled cuz we were looking for real 2 bedrooms.
Chris and Sayge were great, responsive, and accommodating. We just needed a bed to sleep on, and the room delivered. The grounds and room were clean and easy to find, and the beds were comfortable. While the kitchen and main room were cramped for 2+ people, the main bedroom was good sized with a nice TV. Room was advertised as ocean view, but the views from the rooms in the rear building were of the front building, unless you are 6’ tall, which then there was a peak-a-boo view. Area in general was scenic and restaurant was right across the street. I can’t believe how much hotels and air bnbs are these days (somewhat expected after Covid and largely due to air bnb’s crazy fees), but compared to others in the area, Chris and Sayge’s prices were reasonable (especially the cleaning fee) and would recommend for a night’s stay.
This is a great place to stay to explore the northwest part of the peninsula, including Shi Shi beach and Cape Flattery, both about 45 minutes away. The place was simple but clean and comfortable and had what we needed. The Starlink Wifi was spotty at times, and Chris tried to reset it whenever it was, but it’s a remote area, so just know that if you’re going to need internet at all. Also, the power went out for about 7 hours one day in an area that covered about 1/3 of the Olympic Peninsula, so just remember to plan as needed - or just be unplugged while you’re here, and life will be better:)
