L’appartement est parfait, nous n’avons manqué de rien ! L’endroit est très calme et paisible. La piscine est un réel plus ! Je recommande très vivement cet appartement pour passer des vacances reposantes dans cette beau département !

Had a fantastic week at Sophie’s place. When originally booking we weren’t sure where exactly in the Dordogne to go, but this location was absolutely perfect for exploring the castles, caves and canoeing. The week we were staying was very hot so the pool was a lifesaver- we spent almost every afternoon in the pool and garden. The property is just as described and makes a perfect family holiday home. Sophie was very friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely look to come back in future summers.

Pros: The house is very attractive, with everything we needed. It is away from the main road, but only a very short drive from the lovely tourist village of Beynac et Cazenac. The house is old so stayed fairly cool even in the heat of summer with the shutters & curtains closed. The swimming pool was not warm but the weather was hot while we visited so my kids still enjoyed playing in it. Garden was big enough for family games and sports. Cons: 1. The house is directly opposite a church. At 7am the bell of the church tolls 66 times!! It is very loud and impossible to sleep through. Luckily we get up early as a family otherwise this would have ruined our holiday. It chimes normally with the hour until 8pm, except at midday and 7pm when it tolls lots of times again. It also chimes once on the half hour. 2. There were lots of mosquitoes when we visited which came out earlier than expected at 4.30pm. Citronella worked a little, but we ended up going inside because 3 of 4 of us get bitten.
