A few layers of shirts, sweatshirts a light jacket and possibly a heavier jacket are recommended.. • Firewood – To preserve the property, cutting firewood is not permitted. Please bring firewood for both inside and outside needs. There is an awesome fire pit by the creek that makes for fantastic memories • Sun Screen – At 9200 feet, you are closer to the sun and the rays can be intense. • Lip balm – If you have not spent much time at altitude in Colorado, you will soon find that aa tube of lip balm can be your best friend. Colorado residents are used to a tube in their pocket or purse all the time. • Lotion – Just like lip balm, pack your favorite lotion for the impact of the dry thin Colorado air. • Afternoon rain showers – As part of the Rocky Mountain climate, be prepared for afternoon showers on any given day. Rain DOES NOT have to be in the forecast to have showers. Bring a light rain jacket or poncho if you pan to explore or hike • Plan your meals and shop ahead – The Walsh Haven is 7.5 miles from the closet convenience store and the last thing you want to be doing is running to the store for items. Plan, shop, pack and take the stress out of your stay. • Hand sanitizer – Clean is always a good thing • Towels and wash cloths – Nothing better than your preferred towels and cloths. We have ours but many people prefer their own. • Bring a device with bluetooth that can play your music – some tunes adds to the experience
Easy check in, easy to communicate with. The best decision you make is booking this place. Unbelievable atmosphere. 10/10, will be returning! Thanks kerri!
Peaceful & pleasant would be an under statement! The location for relaxation cannot be beat!
We really enjoyed our stay in the mountains and Kerri was an excellent host. She personally met with us at check-in and walked us through all of the pertinent details. The creek in front of the cabin makes the property a very peaceful and relaxing place. Hope to return in the future.
What a beautiful escape from reality! With deer creek trailhead just up the hill. A wilderness lover’s perfect vacation spot. Kerri is extremely nice and helpful when it comes to asking questions. Would recommend her hidden paradise to anyone willing to make the adventure!
We had a blast staying at Kerri’s Cabin! It is really beautiful place and really relaxing! The stream is right next to the cabin, and I could set next to it 24/7. The cabin had everything you need for a pleasant and relaxing stay. This is the most beautiful air bnb cabin I have ever stayed in. There are several local state hiking trails by this cabin, with beautiful views. Lots of wildlife, hiking, and streams to enjoy! You will not be disappointed in your stay there! Just pack up and go, you won’t regret it! Kerri is a really nice host, and always reached out too me, if I needed anything.
Biking, hiking, fishing, zip lines, lakes, places to ATV and dirt bike are less than 10 minutes away and plenty of scenic views.. Many restaurants and shops around area. You can fish off my bridge or even try fly fishing in my stream! Current can be fast at times when the snow is melting but there are fish to be caught. There are many lakes around the area where you can fish too! Also, there is a zip line company in Bailey that my renters love! Fly fishing, lakes, Guanella Pass, wineries, hot springs all in driving distance!
The cabin is located 10 miles in the forest. The last 1/2 main is not county maintained. Vehicle(s) should be able to withstand road. Road is also narrow so if anyone is bringing camper(s) please remember that.
