We are a family of four (two young children) and had a fantastic stay at The Hayloft. It is surrounded by fields of sheep and feels remote though is an excellent base for walking and a plethora of activities (on and near the lakes). The Hayloft was exceptionally clean & cosy, yet beautifully decorated and the kitchen well-equipped. I thought the price extremely reasonable. Sally responded to us within an hour (usually much quicker than that) and helped us plan all our trips. I would highly in the recommend !

We had a great stay at Sally’s place. Everything was as described. Check in was easy and we received a really comprehensive update email from Sally before we arrived with all the info we needed. The cottage is fine in size, we are a family of 4 and had the on-suite double whilst the kids shared the room with two good sized single beds. The top of the loft is really cosy and the WiFi is good (I streamed a full football match on my iPad with no bother). The price was good, probably a bit cheaper as the location is just outside the lakes national park, but ideal as a base for going into the lakes. Coniston and the bottom of Windermere were both a nice 20 min drive ( great views ), Ulverston is the nearest town and is a 10 min drive away, it’s a nice little town with plenty of shops and pubs etc. would stay here again if we were spending time in the lakes.

Sally is very warm and welcoming host, it was a very comfortable stay. Place is very nice and well equipped. Highly recommended. :)

Great location. Only 20 mins drive to Coniston and Windermere and 10 mins to Ulverston where there were lots of restaurants and supermarkets for supplies. We had a lovely stay for 5 nights. Very cozy and warm. The main bedroom is bigger than it looks in the pics and has a large ensuite bathroom with a great shower. Kitchen was very well equipped, we cooked every night with no problem.

We spent a week at the Hayloft with our 8.5 month old. Sally was a great host and had lots of children’s bits to make the stay easier such as books, cot, stair gate, child’s cutlery. The Hayloft is within a short drive of the Lake District and there was plenty to see and do. Sally was very friendly and had lots of useful suggestions of things to do in the area. The Hayloft was well kitted out with just about everything we could have needed for a weeks stay. Thank you.
