Starland County · 民居里的独立房间 · 1室1床1.0卫 · 可住2人 · Drumheller Wolf Retreat - The Cowboy Room
Drumheller Wolf Retreat is in the badlands of Alberta- the dinosaur capital of the World. It is an animal lover’s paradise on a secluded, scenic homestead with farmhouse, barn and shop by a coulee with cows and bison. Hear mates Timber the Wolf and Summer the Wolfdog howl in their safe habitat around the house, play with dog Panda in the yard, relax with cats Rocky and Farley inside, and see deer, coyotes, and wildlife nearby. Ideal for tourists, writers, artists, photographers, filmmakers... The farmhouse was built in the 1940’s and its interior was upgraded in 2020 with new amenities and painted with a natural ambience. The wolf habitat and dens are located right outside the front room window and next to the patio which has lounge seating, tables, and a Bar BQ. This private property has gated access, RV parking, Wifi, treadmill, weights, and workout area. Half the second floor was removed to vault the front room and create a loft office. The kitchen has modern appliances. The bathroom has new plumbing, fixtures, and oversize tub with shower. Accommodations for up to 10 people, including: 1. The Den Suite (2) has a queen futon bed, desk, microwave, and fridge with separate entrance; 2. The Cowboy Room (2) has a queen sports orthopedic bed with period décor; 3. The Wildlife Gallery (2) has a La-Z-Boy Air Sofabed with comfortable furnishings, TV, and art collection; and 4. Mathew is a wonderful host. Panda is the most gorgeous dog I have met and Timber has a mysterious aura around him which will captivate you. Mathew is a really nice person and I would definitely visit them again the next time I go to Drumheller!
Matt is a delightful host, generous in sharing his home with guests. Be sure to participate in the wolf experience - Matt's passion for these magnificent creatures is inspiring.
Really nice place a little ways out of Drumheller, hosted by a very friendly character. His dog Panda was very happy to see us and very friendly, though the cats were a little more reserved to themselves during the stay. The wolf and wolfdog on-site were very interesting to see so close, and the wolf experience was very enlightening and fun! Hearing the pair howl at night and alongside them was really fun, as well as learning about their personal history under Matt's care.
