The Jungalow is a truly great place to stay in Hawaiian Paradise Park. Light, airy, spotlessly clean, attractively furnished, comfortable, and in a gorgeous rainforest setting. Steve is friendly, responsive, and competent. Since you're reading this review, I guess you realize that this is not the kind of place where you walk out the door and find yourself in a neighborhood full of cafés and nightclubs. If that's what you want, look elsewhere. But if you want to spend time in rural Hawaiʻi, go ahead and make that reservation. (And don't worry, the grocery store is still only 15 minutes away.)

We cannot recommend Steve's place enough to anyone looking to have a serene and hassle-free experience. It's clear that Steve goes above and beyond to ensure their guests have an enjoyable stay. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

We enjoyed our stay in the “jungalow”. Its location allows you to explore any part of the windward side of the island. Keep in mind that it’s open air with no AC and that it rains multiple times a day. If you’re not into humidity and don’t like the chorus of Mother Nature’s night symphony, this might not be the stay for you. But we loved it and Steve is a fantastic host. Plus, there are friendly outdoor cats for you to love!

Steve's cottage provides a tranquil atmosphere with authentic East Hawaii vibes. We enjoyed the seclusion of the property and it's close proximity to the ocean. The lanai was great, quickly becoming our favorite spot where we spent a lot of time listening to the sound of the waves and enjoying the company of the resident cats and chickens. Steve is very responsive and made sure we had enough drinking water during our stay. We'd love to come back again.
