This place was absolutely horrible. We arrived and there was no one there to welcome us, they apparently didn't even know we were coming. So we walked into unprepared houses and got hassled about our booking. The elderly lady who works there kept saying she doesn’t even know if the rooms are clean 😢 There was no WiFi, no signal/network (absolutely none, you can’t reach the outside world from this place) , no electricity the whole time we were there, no hot water. Unmade and unready room with 2 twin beds. We requested a double sharing room as we’re a couple on vacation, but this also was asking for an arm and a leg. The place is also not really in piet retief, it’s about an hour away on very rocky and hard to drive on gravel road. The process to get us settled in took more than an hour. We were travelling all the way from Cape Town so this really wasn’t ideal. Not impressive, definitely not value for money!

Had an absolute pleasant experience, will definitely be back. Great food!

This was a lovely place to stay, with friendly people and a comfortable, spacious cottage in a scenically lovely area.
