Peaceful weekend getaway!

We originally stumbled upon this listing because of the amount of bedrooms provided. We had a large group and needed the extra space and privacy. We were prepared to pay a little extra money and stay a little farther out from Branson just for the large space. Let’s just say the space was large but there was not a lot of privacy. When we arrived for check in we had no idea what to do. There was people all over the property, but no one approached us so we were unsure if we were even in the right place. The resort employees were nice but disorganized. They had lost the keys to the cabin that we were staying in.. so no way to lock up our belongings while we were gone. There were people all over our reserved space the entire time. We booked this listing with no knowledge of the “festival” that would be occurring during the entire weekend of our trip.. they told us this when we were checking in and carrying our things upstairs. They told us that they would be taking over our space and using our bar and grill all day Saturday and Sunday. This did majorly throw off our initial plans to use the outdoor bar and grill. That outdoor space was one of the main reasons why we picked this listing. They also had a bus that some of the employees were living in parked right outside the balcony of the cabin the entire time. Basically this was a nice place with poor management. They should have at least stated on the listing or informed us of this “festival” that would be bringing is groups of people. At one point we stopped at a local store on the way to the Airbnb and saw a flyer for the festival/poker run that was occurring at our resort address… Our plans to relax and utilize the entire space for the holiday weekend did not go as planned unfortunately.

We had a great time at this property, the house is spacious and with an amazing view. The property is huge and you are welcome to explore around. The hosts were nice enough to setup a bonfire for us next to the lake and took us around the property to show us everything. The house is fairly closed to main attractions around the area, and the closest convenience store is about 15 minutes away.

The host family is super nice and helpful. They work hard managing the property and the guests. They are planning to add to the amenities; however, the listed amenities aren’t necessarily for each house or cabin on the property. The kitchen in the cabin is way too short for anyone taller than 5’2”.
