<p>Trebant is a charming three bedroom holiday home situated in the small town of Looe, just a short drive from Polperro and Talland Bay. The property is set on two floors with kitchen, dining and living room on the ground floor, three bedrooms and a bathroom on the lower ground floor. Providing cosy accommodation over two floors it is close to the harbour where you can take a water taxi to East Looe, watch the local fisherman or just wander the streets of Looe. </p> <ul> <li><strong>Sleeps:</strong> 5</li> <li><strong>Bedrooms:</strong> 3.</li> <li><strong>Beds:</strong> 1 x Kingsize, 1 x double, 1 x Single.</li> <li><strong>Bed linen and towels:</strong> Bed linen and towels provided for free at the property.</li> <li><strong>Accessibility:</strong> Property set over 2 floors.</li> <li><strong>Kitchen and utilities:</strong> Fully equipped with electric cooker, fridge, dishwasher, separate utility area with microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer. </li> <li><strong>Facilities for families:</strong> Not suitable for children under 8.</li> <li><strong>Outside:</strong> Paved rear terrace with dining table and chairs. Expansive front deck access from the entrance door at the side of the house with range of seating with stunning views of Looe.</li> <li><strong>Pets:</strong> No pets allowed.</li> <li><strong>Parking:</strong> Parking for two cars on the driveway (Trebant is access by a very steep narrow lane). Additional free car parking space higher up on The Downs car park, parking permit provided. Ideal if you have a larger 4 x 4 car. Stunning views of the town,sea and river from a perfect gantage point near the top of a mountain. Exceptionally well maintained property with great facilities like excellent wifi and everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Beware if you have luggage however that direct vehicle access is challenging due to the extremely steep road and that although free parking is provided elsewhere it is some distance from the house.
Lovely place to stay and a really nice welcome gift of scones from the host. The hill to the place was challenging but so worth the view. Brilliant stay and would stay again.
A lovely appointed house with amazing views over Looe Harbour in both rain and shine. We had weather warnings of flooding and the view still looked totally amazing. A good workout walking up to the top car park or down to the local shops with quite steep inclines. Friendly staff at Spar and a good selection of essentials; i.e. beer, cider and wine! Supermarkets for more substantial shops are 30-40 minutes away depending on whether you favour Morrisons or Tesco. To get to East Looe you can either walk up North Lane and take the footpath down to Quay Lane and walk up and cross over the bridge. Pretty flat once you hit Quay Lane. Alternatively, get the ferry by the square when the tide is high for £1 per person. One night we caught the ferry over to East Looe got fish and chips at the Catch (just across from where the ferry drops you off) and then caught the ferry back to eat them back at the house. The house is well appointed with a well-equiped kitchen, dining room and lounge. Lots of chairs to sit both inside and out admiring the views over the harbour or getting a tan. The kitchen has a small fridge in but in the utility room, there is a large fridge freezer providing more frozen storage. There are lots of little led lights dotted around the house and garden which light up when the sun goes down. Makes a nice touch to sitting in the house or garden. We also booked the Sea Kitchen in East Looe. No menu but walkable from the house in roughly 15 mins. They don't have a menu but do fresh fish cooked based on what was delivered that day. Highly recommended. We were only there for a week but we all had a great time and came back feeling rested and relaxed.
We have a Volvo XC90 and my husband is a capable and confident driver. The steep and extremely narrow road in front of Trebant is not for the faint-hearted but it can be driven used, especially if your car is smaller than ours! We parked our car in Trebant's parking space. Much more convenient than the top car park using the permit.
