La Dame Blanche is not a typical holiday let. It is a beautiful family home, fully equipped, tastefully decorated and furnished. Only the mattresses have been bought in Ikea! The house is situated in a tiny hamlet on the Dordogne/Charente Maritime and is 200 metres from the beautiful River Dronne perfect for swimming, fishing and canoeing.Outside is a magnificent walled courtyard with a summer kitchen, flower gardens, sitting areas and a swimming pool, all completely private. This ancient building has been recently refurbished using locally produced timber and floor tiles. It has the feel of an old farmhouse, furnished with antiques, but has a fresh contemporary finish. Downstairs are a kitchen and sitting room which form a massive open space 13 m x 7m. Upstairs are three ample bedrooms, two with double beds and a third which has a double bed and bunk beds. There is a family bathroom and one bedroom has a sink, while downstairs is a separate toilet and sink. The courtyard is 18m x 13m and has walls 3.5m high, thus making it completely private.

This Villa was an absolute dream for my girlfriends and I. It was so beautiful and serene and we would definitely come back. Highly recommend!
La maison d'Amaryllis est très agréable, le jardin est super, avec un coin piscine, une terrasse pour déjeuner. Amaryllis et Stephen ont été très accueillants et présents si on avait des questions. Le coin est très joli et très calme. Nous avons passé un très bon weekend!
le logement très atypique est plutot agréable qui attise la curiosité en effet la decoration est trés original en suite le bien est assez grand pour un rassemblement d'une famille juste un bémol beaucoup et cela dans chaque pièce presente de grosse toile araigné et donc beacoup d'insecte présent dans le logement en soit les proprietaire sont accueillant et trés réactif
Le logement proposé est encore mieux en vrai qu'en photos et plein de charmes. Amaryllis est réactive et de bon conseil nous avons passé un excellent sejour, merci beaucoup
Nous sommes partis entre amis et nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Les hôtes sont très agréables. La maison est très agréable et la jardin avec la piscine encore plus. Je conseille très vivement ce gîte.

The house is in a small, peaceful hamlet where the only sounds are the river tumbling over a weir and the occasional train.Two kilometres away are the small towns of St Aigulin and La Roche Chalais which provide the necessary local amenities.
The greatest local amenity is the river which is 200m from the house, beautifully clean and perfect for swimming.
The house is on the edge of both the Bordeaux and Cognac vineyards and an hour's drive from the coast.
St Aigulin has a railway station which lies midway between Bordeaux and Angouleme.
