Stijlvol ingerichte cottage midden in de natuur, Kai en Alan waren fijn om mee om te gaan en hebben ons goede tips gegeven. Een aanrader als je op een rustige locatie wil verblijven en toch alle voorzieningen in de buurt hebt.

Kai’s place is an absolute gem. It is hidden away from the main road in a lovely garden, mountains are all around. The rooms are really spacious and very well-decorated, you feel at home the minute you walk in. Kai is really proactive and made reservations for restaurants in town for us, where we had a really good dinner. Next time we would love to come again and stay longer. The combination of the relaxed vibe in town, mountains for hikes, wineries to visit and the stay at Kai’s really makes it a place you want to come back to. Thanks!

We had a delightful stay at Kai and Alan's. They are the nicest hosts, and their garden is a tranquil haven adorned with birds and a newly hatched chick. Even with a cat casually strolling around, it appears as though they're all part of a harmonious ensemble. The hosts have a keen eye for interior design, and the room was tastefully decorated with a lovely blend of textiles and metalwork. The quality is outstanding, especially considering the carefully curated antique pieces. Alan, in addition to being a gracious host, is a fantastic storyteller. We had the pleasure of listening to one of his stories involving a daring encounter with a lion in the wild—no spoilers here! Communication with them was excellent. Even before our arrival, Kai offered dinner suggestions, and ‚22 Church St’ was a delightful experience. The Brioche/Aniseed-Caraway Bread with a sugar crust is a memory we'll cherish and attempt to recreate at home. Wishing all Montagu people the best, and we would gladly return.
