The entrance to the Annexe is situated in a private lane, there are only a few neighbouring houses, and the area is quiet and very welcoming.
Within walking distance there is a local park and Nottage village where you will find 3 beautiful and quaint village pubs and a local corner shop.
If you venture into Porthcawl town (a 15 min walk from the entrance of the Annexe), there is lots to see and do!
The town offers an array of lovely local shops to peruse, there are cafes and eateries, you can take a lovely walk along the promenade or even visit the Pavillion for a tea dance or to see a show.
There are 3 beautiful blue flag beaches within walking distance of the Annexe:
Rest Bay - the surfer's beach.
Coney Beach - full of fun and entertainment with the Amusement arcade, fun fair and the Hi-tide pub.
Nottage beach - a quieter beach that is stunning and a wonderful place to explore.
On the main road (a stone's throw from the Annexe) there is a main bus route that will take you to Bridgend, Mcarthur Glen shopping outlet or into Porthcawl town if you don't want to walk in.

On the main road outside of the Annexe, there is a bus stop. From here you can catch the bus into Porthcawl town centre, or onward into Bridgend Town and Mcarthur Glen designer outlet.
Walking into Porthcawl town centre takes approx 15 mins from the Annexe but only 2 mins by car. There is ample parking around Porthcawl if you do want to venture into town.
The nearest train station is Pyle train stations and is approx 9 mins away from Porthcawl. However, trains at this station can be a little unreliable and I would recommend taking the extra time and driving/ catching a bus into Bridgend train station where there are more options for regular trains.
Walking and cycling are popular among the locals. There is bike rental available throughout Porthcawl, including "fat bikes" with the wider tyres so you can easily cycle across rough terrain and sand.
