The house: respectful for its history adjusted to modern needs and comfort The interior: creative, tasteful, loaded with art and a very personal touch The equipment: well above standard Surrounding: peaceful, great view, dramatic changes in weather, light, tides and foam… The host: always present, even though we didn’t meet him Altogether: great place, Airbnb at its best!

I stayed at the Lily Pad for a whole week in September 2023 and had a lovely, restorative time. I needed to rest and rejuvinate - mission accomplished! The Lily Pad is delightful in every way: wonderful design, fun art work, fully and thoughtfully equipped kitchen with everything you could possibly need, a stunning view of the river, a comfortable bed in the wonderful loft where you can see the lights of Annapolis Royal across the water from your bed (wow!), charming furniture, a good size deck and sweet backyard .... the cottage was clean and well organized with so many extras that you would not expect. Tyler was so friendly, helpful and considerate. He always got back to me at lightening speed. I appreciated absolutely everything about my experience. The area is lovely with many historical and beautiful homes. If you are in good shape you can walk to Annapolis Royal in about 25-30 minutes and it is definitely worth visiting. If you are able to drive - 5 min. 10 stars!!!

We first arrived to find out we were on an extremely busy road .I would never had known by the photos or description..The driveway is a nightmare ,Very,very dangerous.There were no curtains on all lower windows on the rd level.We had to use sheets for curtains that we found in an up stairs in a chest.and dishtowels over the windows on the doors.There were no pillow cases for the extra pillows and the loft area was so hot even with the heat pump couldnt cool it down.We were aware that Tyler had a person over seeing the cottage and we were at her door with in an hr. We were there asking for help with the tv .She came down an hr later as she was sleeping when we went to her house .The husband told me that .She came down and told us she had no idea what to do to get the tv working and left after rolling her eyes when Tyler name was mentioned.That told me alot .We were on our own at that point.Tyler told us to go to Home hardware and buy a gongle what ever that was and we never did.

Enjoyed our stay, traveled back and forth for Digby Wharf Rat Rally, and it was very relaxing to come back to such a cozy cottage.
