What a magical place! Ardit and everyone who works at the resort were great, so welcoming and fun. You do need to adjust your expectations a bit to stay here- it is very remote and the electricity and wifi is only available when the generator is on, which is specific hours during the day, so you won’t have lights in your room at night. The showers don’t have hot water either. But just expect to rough it a bit and don’t stay too long and you’ll be fine. We stayed for 3 nights (2 full days) and that felt like the perfect amount! The boat ride to get there is an hour and is one of the best parts. So beautiful! Once you’re there you can rent kayaks/canoes and explore down the river on your own which is one of the most incredibly peaceful and awe striking things I’ve ever done. You can also ride horses (sort of… the saddles/reigns are a little unusual haha), hike, or zip line! The boat ride was easy to arrange with Ardit. The main boat only goes at specific times but it is possible to arrange a private boat or hitch a ride with a local if necessary if you need to arrive or leave at a time that’s not when the big boat goes. (This was my biggest concern when booking, but Ardit was super helpful and made it easy!) All the resorts there are owned by one big family, and they treat you like part of the family (they also leave you be and let you do your own thing, you’re not smothered or anything, but if you want to join in, you are made super welcome!) While we were there, there were bonfires down by the river every night and lots of fun music at the bar (a whole mix of styles, including crowd pleasers as well as local music). We went for my birthday and the bars played fun birthday songs a few times throughout the stay and Ardit and the staff gave me several kind birthday gifts (free dinner, shots, etc.) The food is delicious and portions are big. You get breakfast included but if you want other meals it’s all very affordable. You can bring cash for the other restaurants nearby, but anything through the resort you can just run a tab and pay at the end with cash or online. Overall, I’d definitely recommend staying here! It is a hidden gem. Paradise on earth! All our friends were seeing our pictures and asking where we were! Just expect to rough it a little bit and don’t stay too long. It was nice to get back to consistent electricity, wifi, and hot showers at the end haha.
