The house is very beautiful and has been remodeled with great taste. It’s surrounded by a huge garden and the views, on one side the island of Palmarola , on the other the village of Ponza with its harbor, are stunning and unforgettable. The beds are very comfortable and it's as quiet as can be. The kitchen is also very well equipped. Water in Ponza is not drinkable and we found many mineral water bottles in the fridge at our arrival. The cons: 1. There are 67 very steep steps, plus walking, to get to the house; if you have suitcases and it’s hot, you'll get there very tired. 2. The two bedrooms have A/C but the device in the main bedroom was not working. The electrician came the day after and fixed it, but it’s very noisy because it’s old. 3. There are a lot of mosquitoes in the evening, like in most places in Ponza. I wish that there had been instructions about how to deal with mosquitoes and other things in the house. All in all we had a great vacation and we stayed in shape!

Splendida casa immersa nella tranquillità in cima alla dorsale che domina entrambi i lati dell’isola di Ponza. Casa spaziosa, ben corredata ed arredata, con ampio parco e ottima cucina. Non manca di nulla. Dovete solo abituarvi all’idea di fare almeno 100 scalini per toccare questo angolo di paradiso. Ma così vi terrete in forma

We enjoyed our third holiday in delightful Ponza and our first stay at Carole’s lovely house in Le Forna. The two bedroom, two bathroom main house is bright, charming and well suited for a family of 3/4 or two couples. Nearby beaches and boating options are fabulous, and spectacular views from patio and garden are your reward for the hike up from the main road. Overall a great base for a favorite holiday spot. We will be back!
