We used the cottage for guests during our daughters wedding. It was ideal and comfortable. Everything was as described. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. Sheila was very responsive and friendly. This cottage is located just a few minutes from the Main Street of Uxbridge but is also very private.

Thank you for being pet friendly! We appreciate it. The cottage is lovely. The location quiet and close to town. Surrounded by woods. Plenty of open space to toss the ball for the dogs and take a hike. But within 5 minutes of grocery store (many choices), pizza ( many choices) and delicious ice cream (Kawartha). The kitchen was stocked with necessary cooking pots and pans. Thank you for the Nespresso machine - a first for us! Space: the bedrooms were large enough to set up 2 dog crates. Yay! The sun porch was a favorite spot for coffee. Wi-Fi worked for our needs. Tv selection was good for our needs. Laundry room was very nice. Thank you! We did wash one load of clothes. Shower had plentiful hot water. Insider tip— we loved Slabtown Cider for dinner. We couldn’t get table by reservation but the staff pointed us to take out tent and we had a lovely meal in 20 minutes AND we had our dogs at the picnic table with us. We enjoyed the heron and ducks on the pond!

Fawks Nest Cottage was the perfect place for my much needed solo trip. Peaceful, quiet, gorgeous surroundings and yet so close to anything I could need. Sheila was a fantastic host who responded to messages quickly and even gave me a recommendation to a local theater performance that was outstanding! From being able to wake up with coffee and enjoy a quiet morning watching the birds on the pond (including turkeys!) - to lounging in front of the fireplace at night while reading or catching up on TV shows - to cooking a delicious meal while dancing around the very large fully stocked kitchen - to taking reguvenating walks along the trails, Fawks Nest Cottage was a DREAM! I look forward to being able to return to visit Uxbridge and Fawks Nest again as I've fallen in love with Ontario!

The place was easy to find and close to town, but quiet and private. Our dog approved of the big lawn for fetch.
