It is a great place for those who love nature.. quite near to city (palembang) yet far enough to escape from city hustle and bustle. Take a river cruise upstream for bird watching.. (they have their own boat.. and currently building few other at that time). Ask the boatman to turn the engine off at one place.. and feel the quietness.. hear the voices of nature.. and airplane for once or twice.. ^^ Going downstream, we found riverside village.. if you like photography.. bring your >70mm lens to capture childrens playing and jumping off the river ^^ You may also ride a bike to get around the property.. they provide us as complimentary. Some of the things that we could see are rosella workshop, fish pond, cows, home grown fresh produce. The room was clean and came with standard amenities (unless towel), i suppose we could've just ask.. but since we brought our own towel.. it did not really matter ^^ We had a chance to get around banyuasin city (the nearest town) to get some local dishes (Pak Andreas himself drove us) and ended up driving to Palembang since we could not find the famous martabak in town ^^ (bear in mind that it was still in “Lebaran Days” when we came there.. so the many of the store and food stalls were still closed). Pak Andreas and Ibu Octavian (The host) were really nice and helpful. You will hear them sharing story about the property's history and how they have so much passion in developing the village.. do try the rosella tea & jam they produce.. it’s so good ^^
