We booked this place to be nearby for the birth of our first grandchild, thrilled that it turned out to be so close to family for such an exciting time. We really enjoyed spending a month in this walkable, charming, and quiet neighborhood, close to everything we might need or want. Prospect Park is just a couple of blocks away, and the subway is even closer. It was great to have access to the laundry room and not have to haul our stuff to a laundromat. We slept well in the very comfortable bed, and the kitchen had everything we needed for staying in and cooking simple meals. As others have noted, it is a basement apartment, with the bedroom windows at sidewalk level. We were there in February, and sometimes wished that the heating unit had a farther reach. (I discovered a space heater near the end of our stay, but by then the weather had warmed up.) We wanted to stay a little longer but the place was booked!

Had an excellent month-long stay at Melissa and Eric's. The apartment is huge and an incredible value for NYC. Only steps away from the Subway. It is a bit of a distance from Manhattan, so keep that in mind if you need to go in often. But it's also a wonderful, peaceful stay away from the hustle and bustle, and you're right next to Prospect Park. The room itself was clean, warm and spacious. Would stay again!

Spent a wonderful month at this Airbnb. Melissa was exceptional - always available and helpful, making my stay comfortable and memorable. The place was as advertised - clean, well-equipped, and in a great location. Highly recommend for both short and long stays. Thank you for a fantastic NYC experience!
