Set in 3 hectares, Gites de Bernet forms part of our old Bearnais farm, surrounded by rolling vine covered hills, with views of the Pyrenees mountains. Les Roses is a modern, spacious gite with open plan living and kitchen area, converted from an ancient barn. It is fully equipped to the French 3 star classification. Outside, there is a private garden, with patio, outdoor furniture and sun canopy. A BBQ is available in the warmer months. It's the perfect place to relax away from everyday life. Enjoying the outdoor lifestyle, hiking, cycling, and exploring all that this region has to offer. Sightseeing and culture, from Pau, the regions capital, to the areas chateaux and fortresses, to the Basque coast or Spain. The mountains, just an hour away offer fantastic skiing in winter, and plenty of opportunity for activities and days out year round. The Jurançon vineyards are a major feature of the area, and well worth visiting and our region is rightfully proud of its gastronomy.

Nice and private appartment with a garden. All the facilities you need, comfortable. Beautiful surrounding landscapes with vineyards, and close enough to the Pyrenees to do a day-hike. Very friendly hosts who make you feel welcome. Easy communication.
Rebecca a toujours été très réactive et agréable par message et lors de notre rencontre. L’habitation est conforme à la description, l’endroit est propre, fonctionnel et en très bon état. Un véritable lieux de vie contrairement à ce que l’on peut parfois trouver . Tous les produits de première nécessité sont disponible L’endroit est très calme, une bonne localisation dans le Béarn . This is a lovely place to stay in a lovely corner of France. Rebecca and her family were accommodating in every way. It was impeccably clean, has a great location to explore the area, and has everything you could hope for. We have a little one and Rebecca went out of her way to make us feel at home with a small child. There are donkeys. What more could you ask for?
Nous avons adoré l’endroit et l’accueil ! Le gîte est idéalement placé pour visiter le Béarn où aller dans les Pyrénées. La communication avec Rebecca était parfaite. A bientôt dans le Béarn !

The gite is just 2km from the market town of Monein with bars, restaurants, shops, a supermarket, boulangeries and an outdoor municipal swimming pool. Around 30 Jurancon vineyards can be found in the area and most are open for tours and tastings. At least 3 vineyards are within easy walking distance!
A car is the best way to appreciate all the area has to offer.
Buses run from Monein.
The nearest train station is at Artix.
International airports are Lourdes and Biarritz.

Je suis née anglaise mais la France m’a toujours était importante. J’ai travaillé ici, j’ai étudié ici et maintenant j’habite ici avec ma famille. J’adore le Béarn, le Jurançon, ses produits et ses vins. J’aime bien célébrer tous qui est d’ici avec les gens qui connaissent déjà l’endroit, mais aussi montrer cette belle région aux nouveaux. Notre domaine est chez nous à ma famille, nos animaux et les chevaux. Pendant les séjours de nos clients on espère que ça devient comme chez eux aussi.
