We were in town for a short conference, about a mile from Mary's place and from the train station where we arrived. Though we had planned to walk, Mary took it upon herself to come pick us up our first night, and then gave us a brief tour of the nearby highlights while driving us to the house. She proceeded to come inside with us to give us the Grand Tour and explain the idiosyncracies of a few things such as the heating, the door locks and the clawfoot tub! The beds were completely comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, including with great snacks and soft drinks, and everything was in excellent working order. Mary was immediately available by phone, so we felt quite secure in our stay.

This was a perfect location for us when visiting family in the area. We found the apartment to be very clean and spacious for a third floor walk up. Mary has included everything you might need in the kitchen, as well as a generous amount of snacks, beverages, condiments, and cooking needs! The bathroom was clean and had plenty of towels, soaps, etc; great shower and dependable hot water. Most importantly, the bed was super comfortable, nice linens and a variety of pillows, depending on your likes. We felt incredibly at home here and would definitely return. Thank you, Mary, for providing such a wonderful space.

This space had everything we could possibly need. Fully equipped kitchen. Plenty of towels & linens. Dishwasher. Washer & dryer. Heaps of snacks, and many drinks in the the fridge.

What a wonderful place: historical, so well appointed and such generous furnishings (including snacks!) --Mary has thought of everything1 Very private and quiet and BEAUTIFUL.

We loved staying at the Cool House! Location was convenient to walking into town for dinner, Grey Sail Brewing company, and even the local library. There were some cool events happening while we were there. Best breakfast we found was at The Cooked Goose... went there 4 out of 5 mornings-definitely get one of the Eggs Benedicts! Mary was so helpful and seemed genuinely interested in getting to know us! One of our favorite Airbnb experiences!
