The views from the cabins are breathtaking. We unfortunately have not been blessed with good weather so it has been really rainy and cold so having to walk to the bathrooms isn’t the best experience. Not the fault of Kennicott River but just FYI. Maybe because it’s the end of the season but the bathrooms didn’t seem the cleanest. The outhouse left a lot to be desired. The cabin room lights flickered constantly and gave me a headache so I ended up turning it off and using my headlamp. Our cabin didn’t have towels or the room key and since there wasn’t any signal for our phones (t-mobile), we luckily ran into a guest with Verizon who could msg them. But compared to camping this is a luxury and you can’t get better views.

Stunning location! Convenient, very close to footbridge! Friendly host, was really kind. Kitchen well stocked with cooking implements. Two things to be aware of, One might be important: No electrical outlets in cabins. Finding your cabin: cabins were not marked by number, there are only 5 in a row so not too hard to discern. Overall, a Wonderful stay!

It’s a nice place and manager. However our cabin didn’t have curtains in the window of the door and there were so much light to sleep. The common bathroom due to the lack of consideration of others users that take a long shower and dry and straight their hair… we couldn’t use it.

KRL was the perfect location to stay go visited Wrangell-St. Elias NP. for travelers that value a quiet, private, comfortable place to stay, away from the loud nights of McCarthy, KRL offers a GORGEOUS setting. The bed in cabin 5 was amazing, Chris was wonderful to work with, and we were thrilled to be able to schedule both a River rafting trip and a glacier tour (both private tours) directly with Chris. You can also take a short walk through the woods to the Cafe for coffee and pastries or ice cream. The outhouse is perfect for quick bathroom trips, or the main house has an indoor bathroom, shower inside (hot water does not last long though) or two showers outback (much long lasting hot water). this gets 5 stars!

Beautiful location with a view of the glacier from the porch. Enjoyed having a kitchen at the lodge. We will recommend this place!
