Nice stay in rural NM. Lots of walkable areas, and animals to hang out with. Easily drivable to Caballo lake and Perchas state park/Rio grande. Comfortable bed. One thing I missed was there’s no microwave- not a show stopper, I just didn’t think about it until I arrived. Thanks to Laverne and Ken for hosting me!

This was not our first stay at Laverne's little cottage. We love the quietude and beauty of the whole area. It's perfect to just chill in the back yard, listening to the birds (not that I'm a bird fanatic but they sure made me happy this past weekend.) We bring food but always appreciate the fresh eggs and even bacon this time in the fridge so just sitting around cooking and having cocktails was ideal. We'll stay there again.

Ground were nice, beautiful mature trees. We walked the labyrinth which is huge and right on their property.

Initially Laverne communicated well. We needed to change reservation to leave a day early and she said that it would be fine. She then declined the request and we did not get credited. Difficult to navigate in and out because of dogs. Home did not have any window coverings except for one. When it got dark, the bugs came out from everywhere. Flying ants, roaches, scorpions, centipedes, spiders. There is a huge gap in the door and the walls are sepearating from the floor. Had to sleep in a chair at kitchen table where the window a/c unit is because the air did not reach the bedroom. This location was 105 degrees at the time. We refused to stay another night. Political flags were also flying out front. No indication of that in advertisement of property. This was our first Airbnb experience and we are extremely displeased.

Great stay. Friendly dogs. Beautiful country, close to Caballo Lake. Generous breakfast.
