Our second stay at Lyrebird Cottages and it was just as wonderful as the first. This time we stayed in Mountain Ash which was every bit as good as Silver Wattle the first time. Sit on the balcony and watch the two lyrebirds come and go from the forest in front of you. Watch the King Parrots feed in the chestnut trees. Take in the glittering lights of the city at night. Simply sit and listen to the breeze passing through the trees. So peaceful and quiet. Inside, the cottage is new and so comfortable and clean. Cook yourself a meal as we did if you like and the relax by the fire while watching the TV (all major streaming services available). Healsville Sanctuary is just down the road - I so love going there. Tessa and Stewart are delightful hosts to boot! We intend to return regularly to Lyrebird Cottages. What is NOT to love about this place!!
Gorgeous, secluded property which is perfect for a quiet few nights away. The accommodation itself has everything you need to relax and unwind, and is extremely comfortable. Highly recommend!
We loved our little getaway to this beautiful cabin. The fire wood was generously stocked! Would definitely recommend.
Serene & clean cottage with a gorgeous view, we enjoyed watching the sunset and looking for wildlife from the deck. We ordered in dinner and my toddler loved her lasagna. Tessa and Stewart were very helpful and communicative and we enjoyed our little weekend getaway in the Yarra valley.
We recently stayed at Lyrebird Cottages and had an amazing time. The house was spotless and offered peaceful atmosphere, perfect for unwinding. The sunset view from the balcony was breathtaking, and it quickly became the highlight of our stay. Our one-year-old enjoyed the surroundings and watching the birds. Tessa and Stewart's provided us with excellent recommendations for nearby attractions and scenic spots to visit. Their easy communication and willingness to assist us in any way possible truly set them apart as exceptional hosts. Overall, our time at Lyrebird Cottages was nothing short of magical, and we sincerely hope to return for a longer stay in the future. We recommend this Airbnb highly enough for anyone seeking a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway amidst stunning natural surroundings.

Having travelled the world as backpackers for a number of years, we finally chose this beautiful mountain top to put down our roots. We love meeting people from different countries and cultures, speaking different languages and getting out there exploring on our bikes or on foot. Hosting our own accommodation brings the world to us and allows us the opportunity to share our enthusiasm for this very special, natural part of the world. We look forward to meeting you!
