This little unit has all you need to work as a base to explore what Burnie and surroundings has to offer. Beach is meters away and so is one of the greatest locations to watch little penguins in the wild. A very nice city park with a real waterfall, a little pond and a playground is also 2 min walking distance away. Fern Glade Platypus Reserve is a few minutes drive. The one let-down though is the noise level, we had trouble getting any sleep at night. The unit is next door to the pump station and facing a busy highway. If you can deal with that it can be a good value pick. Owner even offered an early check in which was very nice of them, even though we didn't use the offer.
