Wow! Ethel is an attentive yet relaxed host, and the Cow House is not to be missed if you're looking for a place to stay where you can reach counties Waterford, Tipperary, Kilkenny, Wexford... comfortable accommodation, everything you need, and Ethel is relaxed, easy to reach and to chat with!

Ethel was the best host, who was easy to reach and who gave loads of Information about possible activities. We felt very welcome and felt that we could approach Ethel with basically everything. Also the farmer around the house was very nice. The farm house was as described, with lots of cows in the environment. We enjoyed the option to do the laundry and our daughter loved petting the cats and the dog. There was a minor technical issue that Ethel fixed within a day. The house is split in two apartments. The other apartment was just occupied for a day or two when we were there. Here it seemed to be a bit clairaudient. But since we didn't have neighbors most of the time, it didn't bother us and we had a great stay.

We had an amazing time at the cowhouse!! Ethel was absolutely wonderful and made us feel so welcomed. We felt very safe where we were and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. We were able to make day trips to the cliffs, Kilkenny, Cork, and Cashel without any trouble. If you love cows, it’s perfect! They are very curious and will come moo at you for as long as you stay out with them. Toby (the adorable dog!) was so friendly and love all the belly rubs:) Can hardly wait to be able to go back again one day!

We had a fabulous stay at the Cowhouse- Ethel is a wonderful host and nothing is too much trouble - the Cowhouse is in an excellent location with Kilkenny, Waterford and Clonmel (to name but a few) within easy reach - would very highly recommend😊

I picked the Cowshed in Carrick on Suir because I liked the look of it on the air B&B website, unusual and quirky. Not only did it meet my expectations, but I hadn't realised how much there was do do in the surrounding area. Close to so much. The Blueway, the Greenway, Dungarvan, Tramore or a trip to Kilkenny. We went to Fota Wildlife Park for the day, only 1.5 hours away and Ethel had great suggestions of lovely things to do, places to eat, or diversions to make. Ormond castle is lovely and the walk from Cahir Castle to Swiss cottage a lovely gentle stroll by the river. Ethel is the perfect balance between being helpful and informative and letting you have your privacy. I can happily recommend it for a really enjoyable stay. There is a laundry room which is really handy after a walk up Slievenamon, and the local supermarkets and facilities mean you can cook in which saved us a fortune. Thanks Ethel and family!
