My family and I really enjoyed the stay. the place was clean and comfortable. we loved the touch inside with the tree. The resort has alot to do from fishing to golfing. It also has atv tracks. Steve is a great host and very kind. we got to meet him and chat for a bit. Thanks Steve!

We had several issues, none of them terrible on their own, but together making a bad trip. The listing mentions wifi, but it's on a plan limited to 150 gigs a month. We were at the end of the period, and ran it out streaming movies. No cell service either. The cabin somehow had at least three flies buzzing around at all times, no matter how many we swatted. We found burrs stuck in our blankets, and one kitchen drawer had mouse droppings in it. Check-in was also tricky, since my GPS dropped me off at the resort entrance, from which the cabin was not even visible.

I interacted with the owner Steve on multiple occasions and he was very helpful and kind. The property was exactly what we were looking for and Steve’s land is great, especially for exploring during the fall, the foliage and sunsets were excellent. It’s close to maquoketa caves and it’s an excellent place to stay. My husband, myself and our dogs loved staying and hope to come back.

First of all, thank you! We had a great stay in a property that was great value and in a great location. The cabin had beautiful views and is a great place to switch off, especially given that there’s no cell reception. We were able to contact Steve for any problems and he did his best to accommodate and resolve them. Steve was able to point us in the direction of the closest Walmart. The place could have been a little cleaner and the recyclables from previous guests hadn’t been emptied. Evolve do mention free wagon rides however this is no longer feasible due to fuel prices - based on our experience. Instead we spent the day in the local town, Bellevue, definitely worth checking out when you’re in the area. That being said, we had a brilliant weekend and would recommend.
