Maria est une personne très gentille et accueillante. À mon arrivée elle m’a reçu avec un délicieuse dessert: “natas do céu”, une spécialité portugaise. L’appartement étais impeccable. Bien placé, avec de bons accès au fleuve et au océan, très bien pour faire de photos avec le coucher du soleil. Beaucoup des restaurants avec de poisson fraîche 😋 J’ai la chance de bien choisir 😘

We really enjoyed our stay at Maria's - lovely, spotlessly clean and with all of the amenities we needed. Maria communicated really well and always responded very quickly. She's such a lovely, friendly and helpful person. Afurada is a small, close knit community, only a 45 minute walk into Porto along the Douro river, and is a great antidote to the busy city! There are lots of really good fish restaurants and several cafes all within a few minutes walk, plus a couple of local shops, a butcher and hairdresser. There are two shopping centres with large supermarkets a 20 minute, uphill, walk away. Bolt taxis are really reasonable, plus there are local buses if you decide not to walk. I really recommend Maria's apartment and intend to revisit

L'appartement de Maria était parfaitement situé un peu à l'écart de la ville mais quand même super accessible. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié d'être situé près de l'eau, ainsi que l'atmosphère de village composé de petits restaurants typiques offrant d'excellents poissons fraîchement pêchés. Merci encore pour l'accueil.

Maria’s place is a gem. It’s an easy 15 euro ride by Uber from the airport (15m) and Afurada is a peaceful oasis right by the river edge. We arrived to Maria’s helpful instructions and the welcome home made deserts in the fridge. We enjoyed fresh fish barbecued in the street at a nearby cafe and found the accommodation absolutely perfect for a couple. The weather was very cold and wet but Maria’s apartment was warm and the kitchen very well equipped. The shower is spotlessly clean and the water piping hot. It is easy to walk into Porto (along the river and over the Luis bridge and up the steps to the cathedral) and took us about 45 minutes. You can always take the cable car from Gaia just near the tourist info. But buses are also easy and going straight to casa musica. Despite the weather (we had a cold spell) there is much to do and see. We also got the metro out on the blue line up the coast to more fish restaurants. Walking the other direction takes you in 30 mins to the Atlantic.
