amazing space, great history
The trunk house had character and I loved the cabin feel. I enjoyed the woodsy setting with the hiking trails. I seen quite a few deer and many various birds. The beach was a short walk and I was lucky to have it all to myself.
We have stayed at the Trunk House several times, and we always love it. We love all the windows, and the skylights, and being surrounded by trees. It is so quiet there, and the bed is so comfortable - we always sleep great. It’s is always clean and it has everything we need, and plenty of privacy. You are close to Portage Lake and Lake Michigan, and plenty of hiking opportunities. It is a cozy little retreat that we absolutely love
Such a little gem that I don’t want to say too much other than we’ll be back as soon as we spot an opening in the bookings. Seriously a premium space, beautifully restored, and the type of lovely folks stewarding the property and history that I’m happy to have on the receiving end of my vacation money.
This place is awesome! Will definitely be back =)
