We really enjoyed our stay at Chateau de Montvason. It is a wonderful place to spend some time. We stayed there as a large family group with 7 adults and 6 children. There is a massive amount of space to spread out in, and everyone had a great time. There has been a lot of attention paid to the interior decoration, with each room having a different character. You feel like you are staying in a slice of history. Paul, the host, gave us a great introduction to the history of the building, it has seen a lot of action in years gone by. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool, and the huge grounds, which they spent ages exploring all the different hidden corners. It is easy to get to nearby sites of historical interest and some lovely beaches. We had a great stay and would highly recommend to anyone wanting to explore the area.

Paul and Emmas place is absolutely fantastic. We stayed for a family holiday (8 adults and 6 kids under 6) and it was brilliant. So much space to take advantage of, plenty of bedrooms and the pool is great. Location is a 30 minutes drive from the ferry and beaches so really convenient. Great hosts always available for questions and suggestions. Would very happily recommend.

We had a family group traveling in from various places, and this house was a perfect place to relax, with plenty of space, numerous bedrooms, and multiple locations for indoor and outdoor dining. A very charming setting, the gardens are beautiful and were great for the children to run and explore. The house is also close to many great beaches and towns to visit. Paul & Emma were great hosts: the perfect combination of relaxed, and yet communicative. We felt very welcomed. Highly recommended.

Paul and Emma were great hosts - very welcoming when we arrived, full of tips and info before and during our stay and always responsive and happy to help. Their house is great - really impressive work that they have done and full of character. It was a great venue for a family get together and discovering the local area was really rewarding too.
