Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Well looked after large cottage with everything you could need.
A wonderful stay at Colebrook Cottage, a great location and very peaceful. We were very comfortable, the house and garden were perfect for our family and dog, and great to be a stone’s throw from the sailing club, pub and cafe. Thank you for the welcome, we hope to return!
We had a lovely stay at the cottage. On arrival everything was clean, beds and linen provided alongwith a nice touch of a welcome card, etc. During the week, the weather was inclement and while we didn't use heaters the larger room become much cooler and we chose not to use one half of the house - still, plenty of space and our choice to put jumpers on. Lovely enclosed garden (loose step on the outside of the door, perhaps need checked) An incredible peaceful cottage and village which will suit walkers, cyclists and , definitely, brd watchers. Thank you Julie.
This place is perfect. We were two families so we had two ends of the house and sort of kept a bit of privacy. The lounge is lovely and cosy in the evenings with firewood and coal. You can hear oystercatchers whilst sitting in bed in the morning with a cuppa tea. The village is cute with a lovely pub and crabbing for kids opposite the house. Definitely pop into the church it has a lovely exhibition all about Whithorn island.
This historic and very picturesque fishing village lies at the Scotland's most southerly tip. It is most famous for the ruined 13th Century St Ninian's Chapel which stands on the rocky foreshore. The Isle of Whithorn is a unique place to visit it and offers beautiful walks, bird watching, fishing, sailing, and boat hire. Two new small Art Galleries are positioned at either end of Main Street. The nearby town of Wigtown is renown for its books and Festival. The Swallow Theatre is close by.
A car is advisable although once there local buses visit the nearby towns. The Stranraer ferry is 45 minutes away by car.
