I work close by and visit Santa Clara a few times a year. Thom's place is great. I arrived at midnight; no problem, Thom already sent clear instructions for getting in. I left at 4am, I can go straight out to my car without worrying about disturbing anyone. Cozy place, it's a bit bigger than a hotel room. It was also clean. Cleaner than the last two hotels I stayed at in the area. Thom is also a friendly guy and we got to chat a little. There's a Target close by, a great coffee shop (Big Mug), and lots of interesting restaurants. Best of all, is I can take side streets to and from work, and not hit any traffic.

Perfect isolated quiet stay. Lots of curb parking. Half a mile from San Thomas Express way and El Camino Real.

Thom's single bedroom studio is detached, private, quiet, and perfectly located for exploring the Bay Area. Thom is super friendly and responsive and gave some great tips for local hiking. I wasn't paying attention and missed that there isn't a kitchen facility, but in fact there is a microwave & toaster oven (and second fridge) on the covered patio directly outside the room, which is all I needed. Plenty of good places to eat within a short walking distance. The studio is perfect for one, and suitable for two (Queen bed), and I'd definitely use Thom's place again when in the Bay Area.
