We are located on the south shore of Lake Aleknagik in Aleknagik, Alaska approximately 20 miles by car from Dillingham. Aleknagik is a small rural village that is nestled around the shores of the crystal clear waters of the lake. Boasting an abundance of rainbow trout, dolly varden, pike, grayling and all five salmon species--Chinook, Sockeye, Chum, Pink, and Silver--this is an angler's paradise.
Aleknagik is very much "off the beaten path" accessible by one road (in addition to air and water) from Dillingham to Aleknagik--a beautiful winding, paved road ending in a parking lot, boat launch, and stunning lake view. We have had several guests ask us where to go to find the trailheads, to which we respond with a smile, "there are no trails." The only trail you'll find is the one behind you.

Vehicle rental is offered in Dillingham at D&J Car Rentals. There are no public transportation options in this area and cab fares are generally considered to be cost-prohibitive. Private parking is available at the inn, generally for one vehicle per party. If more parking space is needed, there is a paved parking lot in close proximity that is available for use.
