I was there with friends for the Cheltenham Gold Cup Festival. We never met our hosts face to face. I did telephone when my Sat-Nav put me outside a pair of unrelated cottages. I telephoned and was given directions (a few hundred meters down the road from my location). I think that a larger and more prominent signpost showing the name would be helpful. The Chaff House is really comfortable, well equipped and situated in the beautiful surroundings of the farm at Mintridge. Our daughter loved watching the horses in the stables and chickens in the yard from the window! James and Sally were brilliant hosts, very responsive and making us feel so welcome. The house was just perfect for a family break to catch up with friends and family before Christmas, and it had even been festively decorated especially for our arrival! We had a wonderful stay and would love to return again in the future. We would definitely recommend!

What a wonderful stay! A beautiful setting, right on the heart of the farm but still felt very private. Lovely walking around and seeing chickens, cows, horses and sheep. Lovely cottage and really enjoyed our stay. Close enough to a big supermarket and town with all the amenities, but a lovely escape too.

Didn’t get to explore the area much as stayed for a friends wedding at nearby location, the cottage had everything we needed, the owners were very friendly and enjoyed sitting outside for a cup of tea with the lovely country views!
