We were 2 families sharing Marco and Matilde’s house for a week. Terrific location for exploring San Pedro and the Atacama. It’s hard to keep things clean in the dusty desert but everything (floors, towels, linens, furniture, dishes, rooms) was spotless and clean when we arrived. There was plenty of space with the additional pool room for kids to play in. Since the house is located on a pedestrian-only part of Caracoles, we walked 3 minutes to Plazoleta La Apacheta for shuttle pickups. The hosts were extremely helpful and very responsive to every question we had. We appreciated having the 2nd bathroom and washer, both accessed from outside. Sometimes the shower did not get hot right away, but the problem was fixed by turning the faucet off and then back on again. Highly recommend this place for a comfortable stay in the Atacama desert!
