What an oasis! Dan and Berndt have thoughtful curated a playground for the senses. The grounds reminded me of a beautiful botanical garden, the constant smell of chocolate in the kitchen and breathtaking views are just to name a few. Such a memorable experience and we highly recommend.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay! The chocolate farm was one of the most scenic locations in which we have stayed. The variety of plant-life and attention to landscaping detail were impressive. We had a nice view of the ocean from the patio and from our room. The rooms were exceptionally clean, again with attention to small details (such as their own chocolate by the bed and fresh flowers from their landscaping). The communication was excellent and friendly and enjoyable. The chocolate tour which we added on was fabulous--one of the best such tours we have had. Would definitely recommend staying with Dan and Berndt!

This is such a fun place to stay. It's fun to wander around and enjoy the property. We got to try unusual fruits from their garden: finger limes, breadfruit, and cacao. Be sure to sign up for the chocolate tour.

We have been staying and booking friends at the Hamakua Chocolate farm for five years now, and will be continuing to give them business for both family and friends. If you’re looking at this listing and you’re wondering if you should.(?) do it. You won’t regret it. Mahalo DnB
