Walkable distance from Fort Kochi Beach and fairy station. The property is neat and clean. There is a camera which is good for security. The host is very friendly and helpful.
Everything is exactly as it is mentioned on the listing. Devanand and his caretaker Shiny are very helpful, courteous and respectful. The rooms were clean, hot water was really good, and WiFi was working at all times. Devanand helped me get a rental bike as well. Lovely view from my balcony. Great stay!
The place is clean, well maintained and easily accessible. Air conditioning and wifi work well. I had a slight complaint regarding the room which Devanand addressed immediately to my satisfaction. Very positive response and quick action. Ideal place for a peaceful stay.

Since Cochin in Kerala was an important trading zone for foreign travelers and seafarers, the ownership of the Fort Kochi region passed many hands. It, however, remained a Portuguese possession for almost 160 years until the year 1683,k when the Dutch captured the territory. They then held Fort Kochi under their possession for 112 years until the year 1795, thereafter which the British took over control by defeating the Dutch. The 444 years of foreign control of Fort Kochi or Fort Cochin finally ended with India gaining independence in 1947.

I am Devanand, born & brought up in Fort Kochi studied in St John De Britto Anglo Indian Boys' High School & further my studies in Cochin College. My wife is a school teacher son doing higher studies abroad and daughter with littlelun & her spouse is working abroad I think, Fort Kochi with its relatively small area, beautiful sites, and great diversity is perfect place to raise kids. I enjoy cooking, reading & social works, I play badminton still & a basket ball player too. We hope our guests enjoy the neighborhood and Fort Kochi as much as we do.
