Dreamy cabin getaway. Definitely recommend.

This was our second time staying at the Annabelle Log Home. It’s a very beautiful and peaceful property and was a great way to take a break from reality. The cabin was extremely clean and the kitchen provided all of the essentials to cook several meals. The bonus is that it is dog friendly, allowing our pup to enjoy vacation, too. We already look forward to booking another stay in 2024.

It pains me to have to write this as I really wanted to like this place. It's a charming cabin right on the lake with its own dock and beautiful views. However, it devolved into a miserable, frustrating experience right upon checkin. Firstly, there is barely any cell service out there and though the internet "technically" worked it was so slow as to be unusable. I needed to work from there which was impossible so I had to go into town over 30 mins away everyday just to work. Despite constantly reaching out to AirBnB, the owners, and Vacasa (the management company) there was no resolution despite saying they were sending out the internet company who never showed. And Vacasa never followed up. And the owners never contacted us. This level of horrible internet service should be CLEARLY stated in their listing as it will only serve to anger people when they get out there. Unfortunately, good internet service is just as important as running water these days. You wouldn't advertise running water if only drops came out would you? Same applies here. Secondly, there was a huge bug problem with hundreds of dead and live ants all over the floor. When nothing was done despite complaining to AirBnB (you could never get in touch with the owners) we had to go and buy traps and clean up all the dead bugs on the floor every day with a vacuum cleaner. The traps did little and so we were annoyed every day with this issue. If the owners had only reached out to us to resolve or attempt to resolve these issues we probably wouldn't have gotten as angry. But when there is no contact other than from AirBnB everyday (calling us on our phones and wondering why there was no answer with no internet and no cell service out there despite us telling them every single time and it presumably being written in the notes) it just infuriates you and ruins any semblance of a vacation you have. I spent the vast majority of the week just trying to get these issues resolved going into town and calling and writing. I finally gave up towards the end of the week when clearly nothing was going to change and before I went insane. A really unfortunate situation and such a shame. Definitely will NOT rent this place again and doubt I will ever use AirBnB again and will still clear of any Vacasa managed properties.

A++ vacation home! The photos do not do it justice. This is a lovely, spacious, spotless, and super comfortable home. If you want a very quiet getaway - alone or with family and friends - look no further. I had a wonderful stay with my dog. We spent most of our time on the hiking trails in and around Presque Isle. It was absolutely wonderful.

We had a fabulous time at the Annabelle Log Home. The home and property were beautiful and provided everything that we needed. We brought our boat and had plenty of room to park the boat and trailer. The driveway was easy to navigate through the woods. The house deck and lake pier were very peaceful to sit at with only the sounds of nature. The master bed was comfortable and the shower had plenty of water pressure. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware. By far this was the best vacation property that we’ve ever stayed at and hope to stay there again in 2023.
